SAJUKA Community Development Group (SCDG) is a grassroots association located in the village of Barra, which is found at the mouth of the River Gambia, is one of the largest settlements in the north bank of the country. Barra has an estimated population of 8.000 inhabitants, most of whom are young people. Barra and the surrounding villages are largely reliant on agricultural production and fishing in an environment where population growth has increased pressure on the land.
